Format: Athletes will be required to compete in the following discipline: Trail Running... this is a marshaled course, un-supported. Pick your poison. Either the short loop, 5 miles of very challenging trail running. Natural & man-made bridges, stream crossings, steep descents & brutal climbs. The long course is more than a half marathon, 14.4 miles of the most brutal & challenging trail running you will ever do. We guarantee this. Stream & creek crossings, natural & man-made bridges, huge steeps, up & down, the "Infamous Tunnel" and, FOUR! (feels like I ran a marathon) The Expert course is 19.4 miles, most of the people that register for the expert course quit after the long course. This is a great event that benefits the South Buffalo Fire & Rescue Squad. These are NOT your ordinary foot races. These trail running races where designed & chosen because of their difficulty. Runners must carry whatever fluids or food they will need for the entire course. There are re-supply drop off points on the course where athletes can pre-position supplies. These races are marshaled but unsupported.
