Complete the information requested below as best suits your coed team. Items marked with * are required fields.
After registration, you will be assigned a National Ranking Team ID#. You can view that number by clicking "My Team".
USARA recommends you include your National Ranking Team ID# in parenthesis next to your team name on race registratiion forms.
This will insure your team is awarded the appropriate points in the USARA National Ranking System.
Teams must register their permanent members. Permanent members consist of the four core members and two alternate members.
Teams may use an unlimited number of guest racers throughout the year, however in order to receive points towards the national
rankings a team must have at least 1 member from the six registered permanent members on the team in the competition. Guest
racers may be racers who are registered with a different team.
Teams may only compete in 1 event per week - weeks start on Friday and end on the following Thursday. Exception: A team
may compete in two events in the same week if the team members are exactly the same at both events. (Example: Team USA
races in a 2 hour sprint event on Saturday and the exact same team races in an 8 hour event on Sunday). If a team does
race in 2 different events in the same week (using the same team name) and both teams do not contain the same members
the team will receive the lower ranking points from that week.
Two teams with the same name cannot race on the same day (Example Team USA sends 3 core members to one event and the
remaining core member and 2 alternates attend a second event and race under the same name on the same day). If two
teams using the same team name race in 2 different events on the same day and both teams do not contain the same
members the team will receive the lower ranking points from those events.
A team that races under several names may not combine the points they receive from the multiple team names. Ranking
points will only be awarded to the team whose name was used for the event.
A team may change their team name during the season by editing their profile. The team will be able to transfer
the points from their old team and they will also receive all points for their new team name from that point forward.
(Example: Team ABC changes their name to Team XYZ. Team XYZ receives all points they had acquired as Team ABC up
to the point of the name change and Team XYZ will receive any points they acquire from this point forward while
registered in races as Team XYZ). If Team ABC had also raced as Team XYZ before the name change they would not be
able to transfer & combine the points they had acquired as both Team ABC and Team XYZ.
Only the premier coed division for an event will receive ranking points. If there are multiple coed divisions
(ex: 4 person coed and 2 person coed) for an event, only the 4 person coed division will receive points. Events may
not mix and match results between divisions.
Teams may only collect ranking points if a core team member of the team is the captain for that event. A team
may not collect ranking points using 1 core member and give the national qualification slot to a guest member
from another team. (Example: Team USA races in a regional qualifier event with 1 core member, Bob and 2 guest
members - Fred & Sue. Team USA wins and takes the ranking points for Team USA. Fred & Sue want the qualifying slot
for their team). In this example the team must decide who will get both the points and the qualifying slot, they cannot
be divided between 2 teams. Either Team USA gets both the ranking points and the qualifying slot or Fred & Sue's team
gets the qualification slot and the ranking points are forfeited. Ranking points will only be awarded to the team
whose name was used for the event. In the above example if Team USA accepted the points and qualification slot they
would receive both. If Fred & Sues's team accepted the qualification slot they would forfeit any ranking points. Forfeited
ranking points will not be awarded to any other teams in the competition.
All teams will be grouped together for USARA National Ranking Points regardless of the category they are registered in at
the USARA Adventure Race National Championship. (Example: Team USA wins the Coed Masters division at the USARA Adventure
Race National Championship but comes in 4th overall at the race. Team USA will receive 4th place USARA National Ranking
Points.
