USARA's The Checkpoint: Episode 6

In this episode, Brent speaks with Allen Wagner of Broad Run Off Road Racing about his upcoming Fall Foliage Adventure Race. An increasingly popular race, the Fall Foliage is a great race for beginners and veterans alike. Our second segment is a deep dive into past USARA National Championships with Stephanie Ross and Tray Farrar. Packed with stories, adventures, and the challenges of presenting a national championship, this episode is a great way to prepare for next month's USARA National Championship Race in Snowshoe, West Virginia.

USARA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

News and Reminders regarding the 2024 USARA National Championship:

Teams should have their rosters filled (all team members registered) by September 1st.  Registration of new teams closes September 14th. 

A course schematic and a special race map will be emailed to all registered racers on September 7th.  Teams registering after that date will receive the course schematic and map at the time of registration.  The course schematic will be posted publicly on September 14th.

The deadline to ensure your team's name is on the back of our race shirts and on your race bibs is September 7th.  Please be sure to submit any modifications to your team name by that date to nationals@usara.com.

Racer Communication #2 will be emailed to all registered racers on September 15th.  Please direct any other questions regarding Nationals to us at nationals@usara.com.

Anti-Doping Policies for Adventure Racing

USARA has developed a more formal, public-facing anti-doping statement along with policies regarding the importance of clean sport in adventure racing. The policy has been communicated to race directors across the country, and USARA is excited to share this important work with the greater AR community.

The Hard Fall Adventure Race

Hard Fall Adventure Race Report by Ashley Eaton of the Women of AR team:

“Sunday morning, not long after sunrise, we were grabbing a small cluster of mining CPs and ran into a team of two teenage girls, racing with their brother and dad. The girls told us how cool they thought it was that four women were racing together, and that they wanted to race like that when they're older.”
