State Park Adventure Course

Jess Tubb of Grit Adventures saw a dream come true with the installation the Grit Adventures—Adventure Challenge Course at Patuxent River State Park in Montgomery County, Maryland.

This one of a kind experience allows families, groups, and individuals to use their phones to QR a map that allows them to locate checkpoints in the park. Each checkpoint reveals both a physical and mental challenge for teams to choose from. These challenges highlight unique features of the park while creating fun team bonding experiences. Many of the mental challenges are mindfulness based and encourage meaningful discussions while traveling to the next checkpoint.

2025 National Championship

Registration Information

Open registration for the 2025 USARA National Championship started on April 1. There are 16 spots remaining for teams for the September 12 race in Bentonville, Arkansas. 

The race promises world-class mountain biking, set amid spectacular limestone bluffs and prairies that characterize this corner of the Ozarks. Racers will want to come early, stay late and bring the family to experience why Bentonville has been dubbed “the new capital of cool” by the Wall Street Journal.

The ARWS World Championships are Sept. 22-Oct. 6 in Penticton, British Columbia. Check out the website and sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop!
