Interview with Nathan Fa’avae

Nathan Fa’avae recently announced his retirement from racing at the most competitive level of adventure racing after his team, Avaya, won the GODZONE adventure race in New Zealand. The seven-time Adventure Racing World Champion and two-time Ecco Challenge winner told Sleepmonsters he was looking forward to the next stage.

“I’ve got three teenage children who are active and busy, my wife Jodie who is looking forward to spending more time with her husband plus hunting and skiing,” he said. “I will always do many outdoor adventures because that’s how I'm wired. Still, my time is done for these expedition-length adventure racers, especially in a competitive team like Avaya, and it's time to move on.”
